Crochet Thunderbird 3

 



As with my other crochet Thunderbirds, it was based on pictures of the 1960s design. 
Like with Thunderbird 1, I crocheted nose to tail in one piece. However, I added the black, white, and grey sections on top afterwards.
The three arms have pipe cleaners inside to support them. Each of the sections at the bottom joining the arms to the body is made of two identical pieces sewn together for strength.

I designed my crochet Thunderbird 5 to connect with 3 like it did in the show. I deliberately made 3 first as it would be far easier to size 5 to fit around 3 than to get 3 to fit into a preexisting hole.
