Shoot For The Moon Trio

Three cards made with the ‘Shoot For The Moon’ stamp and die set from Tonic Studios. These were really fun to make! Mixed media is my favourite style of card, and the shoot for the moon set was perfect for it. I did quite a lot of heat embossing on these cards, which was a nice change as it is a technique I often forget.

[Image ID] A large, round, golden moon is tucked behind a grey mountain range. Black trees rise up from the bottom of the card, with green hills between them and the mountains.[description end]

All three backgrounds are done with shimmer powders, with black ink blended around the edges, and gold stars heat embossed over the top.

[Image ID] Most of the card is filled with a crescent moon, with a line of black trees occupying the bottom third.[description end]

The moons are made from thin yellow paper, which I heat embossed with a mixture of two different embossing powders. It isn't the easiest technique to achieve, but gave the moons a fun textured finish.

[Image ID] A close-up of the third card. The upper third of this card is a starry sky and a medium sized crescent moon. Just below the moon the sky gives way to grey mountains and a green hillside. Similarly to the first two cards, black trees line the bottom of the card.[description end]

The first set of mountains used expanding mousse, whilst the set pictured above was stamped and heat embossed.
