Beside The Fire

I started this piece last February, and worked on it sporadically until I eventually finished the piece at the beginning of December.
As suggested by the title, the idea behind this piece was a
peaceful evening spent sat beside a fire. I chose Hakuryuu and Morgiana as characters
because I can easily imagine them wordlessly sitting together and simply
appreciating the moment.
The background is based on a pagoda/gazebo style room which is seen a couple of times in the manga. (Firstly in Belial’s dungeon, and again when Alibaba visited Hakuryuu after the Alma Torran arc.) It isn’t an exact representation of the space from the manga, but I liked the style of the benches, and the half walls made it easy to include the sky.
