Two cards made with Tonic Showcase 19

The vintage aesthetic is a personal favourite of mine, so I really enjoyed making cards with this typewriter die. In both cards I embossed the typewriter into the card, rather than cutting it out. I die cut the note paper normally and stuck it on top of the embossed image. The 'just a note to say' sentiment stamps are from the coordinating stamp set.

I coloured the typewriter on this first card by watering down distress oxides and painting them on with a paintbrush. The black outlines were created with a fineliner pen.

[Image ID] Close up of the second card. This typewriter is white and the note paper is a yellowy brown. This typewriter is set within a brown background and this time the card base, creating the frame effect, is a light colour.[description end]

For this second card I wanted to reverse the colour scheme, so I blended white pigment ink over the typewriter itself and lined the image with black fineliner as with the first card.
