Fields Of Lavender

This piece was somewhat of an accident. I originally painted a loose watercolour background to use for a mixed media Lavinia Stamps artwork, but once it dried I found the urge to paint this instead.

Beyond that, it’s hard to know what to say about this piece. It was very much an ‘of the moment’ painting which was (unusually) created in the space of a single day.
