[Image ID] An old 3 storey brick building which has a shop on the ground floor. Two signs on the wall say Colman’s Starch. Union Jack bunting is attached to a black lamp post in front of the building. A large Union Jack flag is hanging out of a top floor window and blowing in the breeze. [description end]

This week I’m sharing a selection of photos I took in Bourne of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations there.

I thought the floral and wire sculpture inspired by the Platinum Jubilee logo was very clever. It was hard to get a good picture of however, as there was almost always someone walking in front of it!

Heidi, my crochet doll, hasn’t been to many places recently so I was keen to photograph her on this particular trip. The floral window display was much bigger than what is visible in the photo, but this small section made a perfect backdrop for Heidi.

[Image ID] Photo of Bourne’s Old Town Hall looking up from the pavement directly in front of the building. The 2 columns are decorated with red, white and blue flowers. The drapes either side are pinky-red. A flag pole sticks out at an angle over the pavement and the Union Jack on it is blowing in the breeze. [description end]

[Image ID] Selection of BRM racing cars under a gazebo, with a few people visible in the background.  The nearest car is grey and green. The next one is white and red.  The third car is white and brown and the furthest car is black. [description end]

Out the back of the old town hall (pictured in the previous photo) there was a selection of BRM racing cars on display. It was interesting to see the different designs and shapes of car.
