Amsterdam Houses Card – TCK 57
-
[Image ID] A square birthday loosely inspired by the coloured building fronts along the canals in Amsterdam. There are four buildings of various shapes. The furthest left building is orange, the one to the right of it is yellow and the final two are different shades of blue. Below the buildings there is the suggestion of the bank and the canal. At the bottom of the card there is a long, thin, gold rectangle with the words ‘On your birthday’ written in white. [description end]

This Tonic Craft Kit was intended to have a Christmas theme,
but the house dies can easily work for any theme of card. The different shapes
of the house dies in the kit made me think of the colourful facades of the
buildings along Amsterdam’s canals.

[Image ID] This photo shows the card tilted so the shiny windows and doors are more obvious. [description end]

I coloured the main house pieces with ink blending, whilst
the windows were cut from plain white card. Once glued down to the houses, I
applied a layer of Glossy Accents over the windows and doors to make them
appear shiny. The scene around the houses was created entirely with ink
blending.
I used my Dymo label embosser to create the gold ‘on your
birthday’ sentiment strip.
