Stained Glass & Florals Card
I used my Fabre Castell Pitt Artist brush pens to colour the
open areas of some of the shapes in the window, then added Glossy Accents on
top, as I thought it looked better with less ‘white space’. The central part of
the window has been raised up off the lower layer using some small foam
squares.
[Image ID] The card has been tilted so the colours and shine, on the window, can be seen more clearly. [description end]
Having made the window, I spent quite a long time trying to
decide what background to put it on. Embossing folders are a cardmaking supply
I often forget to use, but in this instance it was the perfect solution to this
card. I chose the floral frame embossing folder as it was subtle enough not to
distract from the window, but provided enough interest so the card didn’t look
empty. Having embossed the card base with the floral design, I drew over the
raised areas using paint pens to really bring out the shape of the design as
well as reflect the white, purple, and yellow, tones from the window.
I stamped the sentiment with white pigment ink, but later
wrote over it in gel pen to make it stand out more.
