New Home Card

The starting point for this card was the central house die cut which I chose to reflect the occasion I was making the card for. As is often the case, I didn’t use coloured card and instead ink-blended onto white to get the tones of grey and blue.

For the background, I used warm tones for a deliberate contrast against the cool grey and blue of the house. The wood-grain pattern was embossed into kraft card, but a lot of the visual definition comes from the ink blending I did on top. Like for the house, I ink-blended on white card to create the orange for the two sets of corner foliage.
