Inktober 2024: 6 - Trek

When I first thought about the prompt ‘Trek’ all that came to mind was mountains and hiking. However, I eventually remembered that a trek can be any sort of long journey and then came the idea of painting a steampunk zeppelin.

Zeppelin are quite common to see in steampunk art, as something about them fits perfectly into the fantastical clockwork world that steampunk describes. The inspiration for the little segmented fins was actually the shape of a batwing, but combined with the oval shape of the rest of the zeppelin it ended up looking a lot like a fish.
