Inktober 2024: 17 - Journal

‘Journal’ was an interesting prompt for me to tackle, as whilst I use various types of journals I do my Inktober solely through paintings. I thought about it for a long while until I remembered that some newspapers are known as ‘journals’ including the first newspaper to be published in the UK – the ‘Newcastle Journal’ which was first printed in May 1832 and is still a daily paper today.

Of course, since I like bats I couldn’t resist adding one holding up the sign above the door.
