Floral Card Pair

Floral Card Pair

I usually only make my cards in ‘singles’, but occasionally I find myself needing to send two cards close together and ending up trying to settle on a similar design for both to speed up the process a little. This was one such case where I needed two birthday cards close together, and could make the 18th birthday one special simply by adding a glittery number.

These particular cards were nice and simple to create as I stamped the floral image directly onto the brown panel for the front of the card and simply coloured it in. I used a white paint pen for the big flowers and a green Pitt Artist pen for the leaves. However for the berries I used a glittery purple pen so the card looked more interesting in the light.

I then went around the edge of the floral image with a thick black pen and drew the border around the edge of the card with a thin black fineliner.

The ‘happy birthday’ words were stamped onto the same brown card and raised up on some foam squares.

In the case of the 18th birthday card I cut the numbers from some Tonic Studios white glitter card.
