Stardoll Outfit Watercolour #1

After the ‘Sting’ prompt in Inktober where I experimented with doing some of my character illustrations in watercolour I decided to try it again. I originally had a sketch of this in a small sketchbook and had already scanned it in and tidied the sketch up digitally whilst I worked out what to do with it.

I expect I will probably post some more of these stardoll inspired artworks over the coming months as I find trying to draw different outfits from the game quite fun and it helps me practise different textures and styles of clothing.

Included below is a short timelapse of the digital part of the sketch. In real time it took around 25 minutes, but the video has been condensed to a much more watchable 3. This process isn’t really any different to how I start my digital paintings, but since I had remembered to press record when I was sketching on this occasion I thought I’d include it.
